All,

The Austin preDevCamp has lead to the creation of an Austin Palm Pre Developers mailing list.

Austin is a go!

Great news!

The good folk at Conjunctured have agreed to host preDevCamp – Austin. The event starts at 9am and runs until 5pm.

Bring your laptops, download your SDKs, get your thinking caps on… let’s build some apps!

Where: Conjunctured, 1309 E. 7th Street Austin, TX 78702

When: Saturday, August 08, 9am – 5pm

We’re still working on some of the logistics, for things like food and what-not. There is limited parking behind Conjunctured (off Navasota), as well as on street parking on some of the surrounding roads.

Space is limited, so turn up early and be prepared to get to know your preDevCamp-mates. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Keep ‘em Comin’ Austin!

What a great response we have had, thus far, with registrations. Ongoing news on the Palm Pre continues to excite me about this new product and platform. Continue to talk it up amonst your friends and colleagues!

Register for O’Reilly Webcast for Pre Developers!

O’Reilly is also hosting a webcast with Mitch Allen on February 25 at 10 a.m. PT to offer developers a preview of the webOS operating system and development environment, followed by a Q&A session.

Developer Support on the Pre

Some news out of MWC09 from our friend Dieter Bohn. Sounds like the SDK will be “post” launch. Also, mentions the Adobe Flash announcement and the partnership with O’Reilly books.

Also, the first chapter of the O’Reilly book is released and available on Palm’s Developer Network site!

Greetings Austin Pre-ponents!

I have been “volunteered” to organize the Austin PreDevCamp event.  Thanks to those that have also offered to help out.  Since we still have a moving target on Pre’s launch and subsequent SDK, I know it’s been difficult to nail down the “when” and “where”.  But, let’s take advantage of the time to scope out a venue and get some involvement of sponsors.  Anything you can do to help out in these areas, please pass along to me — chrisojeda@chrisojeda.com.
